First Response Training, LLC was founded in March 2017 after much deliberation and seeing the constant need for training programs offered at times that fit the needs of the student. Healthcare providers range from career Fire/EMS to Nurses and Physicians – all of whom work odd shifts and over nights. As a paramedic who works in the private EMS industry, our owner knows first hand the difficulties of training around work and personal schedules.
Owner/Instructor – Andrew Isaacs
Andrew is currently a Virginia Paramedic, as well as maintaining his National Registry-Paramedic. Andrew has been in Fire/EMS since 2004 and obtained his Virginia Firefighter 1/2 and EMT-Basic in 2005. Since then, Andrew has progressed to obtaining his EMT-Enhanced in 2008, and Fire Instructor 1 in 2007. Andrew has worked for several private EMS agencies providing interfacility transport before obtaining his Associates of Science for his Paramedic in 2014. After that time, Andrew worked for a Fire/EMS agency in North Dakota providing fire and EMS services to the city, as well as the 1000 square mile EMS response area. With ND being a rural state, Andrew was also tasked with providing interfacility transports to tertiary facilities that were at least 2 hours (120+) miles away. As an experienced EMS provider, Andrew was often asked to provide training for his shift at work as well as being assigned new employees for field training and EMT or paramedic students.
Andrew is currently working for a private EMS agency as a Paramedic/FTO. Andrew obtained his AHA instructor status for BLS, ACLS and PALS in February 2017. With his experience, Andrew is also a facilitator for Airway Management, Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens, and ECG and Pharmacology.
